Gas-fired power plants and in particular combined cycle power plants are an essential pillar of the transformation process over the next few decades.
The energy transition is taking place in the context of the conflicting priorities of security of supply, economic feasibility and climate protection. For the time being, gas-fired power plants are indispensable due to their flexibility and combined cycle power plants due to their high efficiency and use, for example, in the expansion of district heating.
As lawyers, we have advised on numerous projects for the procurement, contract drafting and contract negotiation as well as for the project execution in the field of gas-fired power plants and combined cycle power plants of all sizes. In terms of content, this includes in particular the project design for contracting entitites, i.e. the alignment of all necessary procurement processes and required contracts with the respective corporate objective.

We work according to the individual needs of the client. We also provide partial services from the entire (all-round carefree) package of legal project management if desired. This could be, for example, only the contract negotiations, perhaps just a contract review or a legal project manual.
When designing processes, we use proven templates and, if necessary, a project-specific valuation (score) matrix under the specification of minimum conditions. We are also very familiar with typical compromise arrangements in contract negotiations from personal experience. This avoids unnecessary rounds of negotiations and a standard market solution is implemented. We present such solutions to the project team in the form of workshops to ensure that the contracts are implemented in a legally secure manner by the project participants.
