Hydropower
The energy transition is taking place in the context of the conflicting priorities of security of supply, economic feasibility and climate protection.
Hydropower plants and pumped storage power plants are necessary technical additions that will become increasingly important in the context of the energy transition. Water is a conceivable energy storage medium, depending on the topography, and the energy transition depends on it.
However, hydroelectric power plants are also something else: sophisticated structures. It is therefore necessary to reflect the objectives of the measure in a legally appropriate manner in the tendering process, but also in the planning and contractual implementation.
As lawyers, we have implemented various projects in the area of awarding contracts, drafting and negotiating contracts for hydroelectric power plants and hydraulic engineering. In terms of content, we have provided advice to contracting entities in particular, and have aligned the necessary contracts with the technological and commercial objective.
As with the tendering and awarding of other construction projects, we use standardised processes that offer time and cost advantages, but which also leave sufficient room to implement the requirements of the contracting entity.
We offer our services as an ‘all-round carefree package’, i.e. as legal project management, or as advice or negotiation on specific aspects of the service, e.g. only the contract negotiations, or on individual questions.
Our service matrix covers the entire picture of a construction project. If requested, we present such solutions to the project team in the form of workshops to ensure legally compliant implementation.
